Our plumbers are responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution, storm, waste water disposal and odour through vents in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

First Klass Mechanical heating technicians repair and replace hot water heaters and tanks, boilers and furnaces.

Our sheet metal workers install and fabricate assemblies such as flashing, pipes, tubes, heating and air conditioning ducts, furnace casings, grills, laundry chutes and other supportive frameworks.

A heating technician diagnoses the causes and problems and or failures in heating systems. They inspect HVAC systems and their components such as heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, heat recovery ventilation units(HRV), to evaluate the condition and identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance. They prepare written materials such as repair status, activity logs, etc. as required for roof top units, pumps, motors, air handlers, fans coils, piping, filters etc. Heating technicians are responsible for start up and commissioning of building automated and manual systems.

Air Conditioning (HVACR)

First Klass Mechanical air conditioning technicians repair and replace air conditioners, compressors, diagnose cooling system problems and look building environmental controls.

Air conditioning technicians may sometimes be referred to as HVACR technicians and are responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, repairing and commissioning ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Included in their duties are testing systems for proper functioning, performing emergency repairs, maintaining and making routine inspections on systems at different intervals per system. They inspect the temperature of equipment, fuel consumption and hours of operation. Air conditioning technicians must recover and properly dispose of refrigerants when servicing all conditioning equipment as refrigerants can be harmful to the environment. They install heating and cooling packages such as RTUs, magic packs and heat pumps. Because of the variety of air conditioning and heating systems, technicians often need to call tech support for specific problems that occur with manufactured products. They work with engineers and manufacture reps and technicians on a daily or weekly basis.

Gas Fitting

First Klass Mechanical gas fitters install vents, flues and connect gas consuming appliances such ranges, ovens, commercial kitchens, deep fryers, dryers, barbecues, hot water tanks, furnaces, boilers, space heaters, radiant and forced air heaters

A gas fitter determines the size and type of pipe for equipment, appliances and devices to use with propane, natural gas and oil. They test and replace defective equipment and components. They service what they install. They install underground gas mains and distribution pipes. They respond to emergency leaking gas smells. First Klass Mechanical follows strict guidelines and all piping is designed to code.
